EAA Chapter 1698 is a community of pilots, builders, and dreamers who love to fly. Whether you've logged thousands of hours or have never left the ground, there's a seat for you at our table.
The Experimental Aircraft Association brings together people who are passionate about flight. Chapter 1698 is the Cleveland, Texas home of that spirit — a friendly group that gathers to share knowledge, build and maintain aircraft, mentor new aviators, and simply enjoy time around airplanes.
Hangar talk, fly-ins, and good company. Meet people who share your love of aviation, whatever your experience level.
From restorations to scratch builds, members share hands-on skills and lend a hand on each other's projects.
New to flying? Curious about getting your certificate? Our members love helping the next generation take off.
We meet on the third Saturday of every month at 10:30 AM. Meetings are casual and open to everyone — drop in, say hello, and see what the chapter is up to. No membership required to visit.

Since 1992, EAA's Young Eagles program has given more than 2 million young people their first free flight in a small aircraft. Chapter 1698 proudly carries that tradition to the kids of our community.
A flight takes about 15–20 minutes, with a volunteer pilot and a parent's permission. It's the kind of experience that sparks a lifelong love of aviation.
Know a kid who looks up every time a plane flies over? Bring them to a Young Eagles event. Every flight is completely free, flown by experienced volunteer pilots who love sharing the joy of flight.
Questions about the chapter, membership, or Young Eagles? Reach out — we'd love to hear from you.
